My Artwork
Growing up in Vietnam in the sixties and seventies, there wasn't
much time nor were there many materials for artwork. There was
always work and other more important things to be done. Furthermore,
my father never encouraged such pastimes as drawing or painting
as they weren't the kinds of things that would lead to a steady job
with a good income. Still, I would draw when I could sketching things
with whatever pencils and paper I could come by. After I was married,
my husband saw me drawing now and then and urged me to go to college
to study further and pursue graphic design as a career. I've
organized some of my older and more recent artwork into three
categories: drawings, photographs, and graphic design. Now, you
can view it all online and avoid the lines at the galleries and museums.
